The excitement of the first time always sticks in the memory, especially if it's an experience you're passionate about. For me, that experience was photographing a wedding with Más que 1000 Palabras. The mixture of nervousness and excitement came over me from the moment I asked Ana if she would let me go and be part of the team of photographers.
Despite my little experience in photography, I had never had the opportunity to photograph a wedding and even less, to do it with a company so well known in the field. So, I couldn't help but feel a bit anxious and nervous about doing my job well.
The day of the wedding arrived and I was as excited as I was nervous. I made sure to prepare all my equipment in advance and even took a lot of inspiration from pinterest to see if I could get to take those kind of photos with the bride and groom. I knew that wedding photography wasn't just about capturing moments, but about telling a love story through images (Ana's first teaching to me the day before the wedding).
When I started, I started taking the pictures in JPG format and with the date on the image, not knowing that this could cause problems in the editing later. The adrenaline and excitement was high and I wanted to capture every detail, but as the day progressed, I started to notice that some of my photos didn't look quite right.
Despite the setbacks, I kept going, focusing on capturing every special moment of the wedding. The emotions of the bride and groom, the decorations, the music, everything that made the day special was captured on my camera.
After the wedding, came the editing part. As I suspected, the photos with the date and in JPG format were not easy to handle and there weren't many of them on my side. But thanks to Ana's help, who taught me how to correct my mistakes and make the photos look great, I was able to improve my skills and learn from my mistakes.
Now, when I look back, I realise how important it is to accept new challenges and how satisfying it is to overcome them. I also learned the importance of being well prepared, getting to know the bride and groom and adapting to the circumstances. The experience taught me that wedding photography is an art that requires not only technical skill, but also sensitivity and passion.
My first marriage with Más que 1000 Palabras was not only an exciting and challenging experience, but also an important step in my career as a photographer. I learned a lot, I took away unforgettable memories, I had a great time and it made me fall in love with wedding photography. I thank the company for giving me the opportunity to be part of such a special moment in a couple's life and for helping me to grow in my career.
